Road Trip Day 2

Peyto Lake in Banff, Alberta

Peyto Lake is undoubtedly one of the most stunning lakes in Banff National Park. We decided to visit this place early in the morning, and it was worth waking up early for. The lake was calm and serene, and there were very few people around. It was a perfect time to capture some amazing photos and enjoy the natural beauty of the area without any disturbance.

The lake is located in the heart of the Banff National Park and can be easily accessed by renting a car. The road leading to the lake is a bit steep and winding, but it is well worth the effort. As we approached the lake, we were greeted by a breathtaking view of the turquoise water, surrounded by snow-capped mountains and lush green forests.

The water of Peyto Lake comes from a glacier, and its unique color is created by the glacial rock flour suspended in the water. This gives the lake its vibrant blue-green color, making it a popular spot for visitors and photographers.

If you’re planning to visit Peyto Lake, I highly recommend going early in the morning to avoid crowds

Strom Mountain in Banff, alberta.

This trail, located near Kananaskis Improvement in Alberta, Canada, is a great spot for experienced hikers looking to see wildlife. The 6.3 kilometer out and back trail is lightly trafficked and offers stunning views of the surrounding area. The trail is primarily used for hiking and is best used from July until October.

During our hike, we had the pleasure of meeting a Japanese family who were also taking in the beautiful scenery. They kindly offered to take a photo of us, which was a pleasant surprise. It’s amazing how traveling can bring people together from all around the world.

The view from the trail was absolutely breathtaking, and we were able to see some of the local wildlife. However, it’s important to note that this trail is recommended for very experienced hikers. If you’re up for the challenge, though, the incredible scenery is definitely worth the effort.

Downtown Banff in Alberta

After our amazing trip to Banff, we decided to head back to downtown earlier than expected. We were all pretty tired from all the activities we did the day before, and we needed some rest. However, we noticed something funny when we arrived in Alberta.

Nobody was wearing masks! It was hard to believe, but it was true. All the restrictions had been lifted, and people were back to their daily routines without masks. It was our first time experiencing this kind of freedom since the pandemic started.

We couldn’t help but feel a sense of relief and happiness to see people’s faces and expressions once again. It was a reminder of how things used to be before the pandemic changed our lives. We even joked around that it felt strange not to wear a mask, but we quickly got used to it.

It was nice to be back in the city and see people enjoying life without restrictions. We realized how much we had taken for granted before and how much we appreciated the little things we used to do before the pandemic. It was a great feeling to be able to experience a sense of normalcy again.

In conclusion, our trip to Banff was amazing, and we enjoyed every moment of it. However, returning to the city and experiencing life without restrictions was also a great experience that we won’t forget. We hope that everyone around the world can experience the same feeling of freedom soon.
